Row  3: K4, (K1, P1) 4 times, K5

Row  4: K1, K1fb, K1, P1, (K1, P1) 4 times, K1, P1, K1, K1fb, K1  (19sts)

Row  5: K5, (K1, P1) 4 times, K6

Row  6: K1, K1fb, K2, P1, (K1, P1) 4 times, K1, P1,

Rows 18-32: Repeat rows 16&17 place a marker on row 28

Toe:

Rows 3-14: Repeat Rows 1 & 2 of toe

Row 15: (P1, K1) to the end of the row

Row 16: (K1, P1) to the end of the row

Row 17: (P1, K1) to the end of the row

Row 18: (K1, P1) to the end of the row

Break yarn leaving 12 inch tail.  With a tapestry needle, pull yarn through all live stitches forming a ring to close the toe.  Make sure toe is secure and seam slipper from toe to marker placed on row 28.  Fold cast on edge in half and sew seam for center back.

1 ball Zitron “Savanna”                                    sl st  - slip stitch

Ribbon ¼” wide or cord                                      dc  - double crochet

Pattern:

Chain 5

Connect with sl st to form a ring

Working in back loops only:

Rnd  1:  Chain 1, 8 sc in ring; do not join, place marker at end of each round here and           throughout

Rnd  2:  2 sc in each sc around (16sc total)

Rnd  3: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc) around  (24sc total)

Rnd  4: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc) around  (32sc total)

Rnd  5: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc) around  (40sc total)

Rnd  6: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc) around  (48sc total)

Rnd  7: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc) around  (56sc total)

Rnd  8: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 6 sc) around   (64sc total)

Rnd  9:  Sc in each sc around

Continue in sc rounds for 15 rounds, end round 15 at marker  (total of 24 rounds from start)

Rnd 25: (sc in next sc)4times, (chain 4, skip 4 sc)...8 times

Rnd 26: (sc in next 4 sc, 4sc in next chain 4 space) 8 times

Rnd 27: sc in each sc to marker

Rnd 28: sc in each sc to marker

Rnd 29:  Sc in each sc to marker and join with a sl st

Ruffle Trim

Rnd 30:  Chain 3 dc in same sc, 2 dc in each sc to marker, remove marker and join with sl st

Make 2 cords of chain stitch to desired length (or use ribbon), weave through loops on bag at opposite sides to achieve “cinch” effect.  Knot ends of cords.  For additional embellishment, string beads on cord before knotting.
