Introduction to Mittens - $50

Learn to make a fingerless glove with an optional thumb flap

Jan 24, 26 & 31 - 5pm-7pm

Supplies:

Yarn: Worsted Weight (5 stitches per inch)

   - 200 yard for fingerless gloves & mittens

   - 400 yards for convertible mittens

 Needles: Size 5 or 6 circulars 32” to 47” or size to achieve gauge

 1 DPN one to two sizes larger than needle size used to achieve gauge –   for convertible mitten

 Small amount of contract/waste yarn – smooth yarn in contrasting color

 Stitch Markers

      Tapestry needle

Open Knitting  - $15 per drop in session

Kid's Knitting - $20 (2 sessions)  9-10am

The first week students will dye their own yarn with kool-aid (yes - kool-aid) and we will start knitting on practice yarn.  The second week students will work on their knitting either with their practice yarn or start knitting a scarf with their own dyed yarn.
